Why Learn Dowsing?

You need to learn dowsing so you can change your life. This is Part 1 in the 3-part series.

Learn Dowsing & Change Your Life

Isn't dowsing just a psychic gift that may be fun for the few who have psychic talents? What good is dowsing to the average person? What good is dowsing for you?

You need to learn dowsing because dowsing is a natural skill anyone can learn that is meant to be used to improve all aspects of your life. Just like you wouldn't care to go through life without ever using your brain, you shouldn't consider moving through life never consulting your intuition and heart.

Your intelligence is vastly expanded if you focus and use your intuition in addition to your rational faculties. Dowsing is the best way to do that. Being more intelligent in this way improves your success in life. You want that, don't you?

Dowsing Is More Than A Parlor Trick

Dowsing is a life-changing skill. Unless your life is perfect, there is something about it that you'd like to change. But life has a way of happening without too much participation from us, and it's all too easy to live life unconsciously and end up with regrets.

Recently I saw a quote on change that said, “What you don't change, you choose.” And the key to choosing consciously is to be self-aware. Self-awareness is required for both dowsing and a happy life. But becoming self-aware is a challlenge. If you become aware of what you really want to do with your life, how you really want to live and how you feel about what's going on, it can be pretty painful. Even scary.

It's true that most newbies experience this, but you need to realize that if you press on, it's like pushing through a veil of unconsciousness. It's a sort of birth or awakening, and it gets easier with time. And even becomes fun. Where are you with regard to self-awareness?

Take the Quiz

Answer yes or no to each question.

  1. Are you aware that you are feeling frustrated, sad or dissatisfied with some part of your life?
  2. Is there any part of your life that you want to change?
  3. Do you sometimes feel stuck, victimized and powerless to do what you want?

If you said ‘yes' to any of these three questions, you are on the road to self-awareness. And that's the first step towards improving your life and also the first step in becoming a good dowser. Do you feel you are self-aware? Comment below as to how you measure that.

Dowsing will challenge you to set goals, tune in to your emotions and ask questions. Our Discovering Dowsing course is the best way to learn how to dowse accurately. See details here. Dowsing is not the only way to focus intuition. We recommend dowsing because it worked so well for us. But the most important thing is that you commit to using your intuition.

    Beautiful article, as always guys!

I have a question…. I’m trying to find a way to emigrate to California next year. I know I will achieve it, I trust. I started dowsing a year ago and use it naturally throughout every day. I meditate every day and I’m doing EFT weekly, with a therapist. I sometimes communicate with spirit guides in meditation and they offer spectacular guidance albeit, sometimes more vague than I’d like (haha). I use a lot of your techniques in my dowsing.

How could I use dowsing to achieve my goals? My main issue is HOW I’m going to achieve my dream to emigrate there….?

Thank you, as always, for your positive contribution to the world x

I want to stress that there is always more than one way to accomplish something. Don’t feel you must do it ‘right’ or else…I think in this situation it comes down to your actual goal. Moving to CA sounds like a way to achieve some goal you have. It isn’t just that you want to move to CA. You think CA is going to offer improvement or opportunity in your life that you don’t have now. (I assume). So I would suggest you kind of back up in your thinking. Dig deeply into your motivation for moving. What do you hope to achieve by doing so? That is your goal, not moving to CA.

One caveat: if moving to CA just for the sake of moving to CA is your goal, this won’t work, but moving is such a big action, you must have some important reason for doing so. That is your goal. Moving to CA then becomes not the goal, but the way you think you can achieve your goal.

I think we often become attached to the action we think will help us achieve our goals instead of focusing on the goals themselves. We like to have control and we tend to get attached. For example, winning the lottery may be the only way I can see of owning my own home. If I focus on winning the lottery, I am not going to be very successful. Why? Because instead of focusing on my goal and how it makes me feel, I am dictating to the Universe HOW to deliver my goal. And if I have money issues, I will not succeed. Far better to focus on owning my own home and let the Universe do the how and when.

So I would get specific on my reasons for the move and leave CA out of it altogether. You may intuitively feel it’s the best place, but don’t restrict your options. We are moving this year. We’ve spent years trying to figure out where to go, and we never succeeded, because we chose a place we thought we’d love and that was all. When we outlined the lifestyle we wanted, things fell into place, but the location was not where we had hoped. And we had to let go of that. So don’t get attached to how or when, because we have no control over that. Focus on what you want.

If you have some specific reason for wanting to go to CA that can’t be done anywhere else, like your boyfriend lives there, then the goal is still not to move. It is to be together with the partner who will be most compatible for your relationship goals. I hope that clarifies this.

Manifesting is about focus, having a clear goal, and not dictating the how and when. Remaining unattached to the how and when is hard. But as a dowser, you have learned detachment, goal-making, etc. You are doing all the right things, and I am sure you will succeed, but we have found success is easier if we let the Universe have more say in the process.
